Getting to be with happy, beautiful people on their first day as a couple AND to be able to make art from it – it’s wonderful!
However, we also know it can be a bit intimidating to get started. Join one of our thorough, but fun wedding photography workshops and learn secrets to stand out with couples, to meet challenging timelines and deliver images they will love. One-on-one is the best way to learn and that’s what you’ll receive from us.
We have over a decade of experience photographing and planning weddings throughout Southern California. Multiple national and international awards and competitive contests winning entries are part of our background too. However, the most rewarding part is the heartfelt comments from couples that become “insta-family” after the wedding is over.
Having been a part of several hundred weddings, we know the ins-and-outs of making the day go smoothly, even before it starts. Sharing this knowledge is part of our persona too, we love to help those starting out or needing guidance. The workshops are tailored to just what you need – simply bring your questions and sense of adventure and we’ll take it from there!
Beginning Wedding Photography Workshop
This one-on-one workshop is designed to prepare those who are just starting out in wedding photography. The training will cover marketing, initial meeting with clients, and assisting couples with timeline planning. As well as recommended camera & lighting equipment, how to prepare competitive packages & pricing, post-wedding digital workflow and client delivery. The full day workshop includes techniques on posing couples and a live photo session with models for you to practice on. This workshop will motivate and equip you with the skills to capture the love of the couple’s beautiful day!
Fee: Half day (4 hours)- $695 / Full day (8 hours) $1195
Workshop Instructors: Alan & Heidi plus staff
Equipment: DSLR camera with lens, portable flash unit is a plus, but not required
Schedule & location: Flexible mid-week schedule and ability to travel within Southern California.
Intermediate Wedding Photography Workshop
This one-on-one workshop is for those who have a few weddings under their belt. However, you’re looking for advice to take the next step and grow as a photographer and as a business. Your training will include more advanced marketing techniques, advice on networking with other wedding professionals, location listings for amazing engagement and wedding sessions in Southern California. The full day workshop includes an advanced photo session with models for you to photograph and posing techniques for both couples and groups.
Fee: Half day (4 hours)- $995 / Full day (8 hours) $1895

Equipment: DSLR camera with wide/tele lens and portable flash unit
