San Diego county has soooo many options, it can get overwhelming sometimes. Family sessions are done on location, usually at the beach, a park, or another outdoor spot with great light and scenery. If you have a favorite place that feels special to your family, we can probably have the session there too. I can also suggest locations around San Diego that are beautiful, kid-friendly, and easy to access.

Choose clothes that make you feel comfortable and confident. For family portraits, it looks best to coordinate with 2 or 3 similar colors, that avoids being too matchy-matchy. Think soft, neutral tones and comfortable clothing that lets you move easily – especially important for kids who like to explore and play.

No worries at all – this is completely normal, and honestly expected. Kids don’t need to be perfectly still or smiling on cue to get great photos. I use gentle prompts and movement to keep things natural and fun, and often the best images come from in-between moments. There’s no pressure for perfection.

You’ll receive a curated online gallery of professionally edited, high-resolution images that tell the story of your session. Numbers range from approx. 15 or so in a Mini Session, to over a hundred from a multi-family, 2 hour session. Plenty of images, everyone will find something they love! From there, you can download your favorites and choose images for prints, albums, or wall art if you’d like.
